Yota Zirziri came in contact with yoga and meditation in 2006, after traveling in India for several months. Since then, she has remained a dedicated student. She studied Hatha and Ashtanga yoga for several years next to her teachers, Konstantinos Karafoulides and Virginia Anagnostou, where she got inspired to continue her journey. She travelled to India again to complete her 250hr TTC at a very Traditional Hatha Yoga Ashram (Yoga Vidya Gurukul), north of Mumbai, in the village of Trimbak, in the region of Nashik. When she lived in Chania, she studied yoga with Anastasis Koutsogiannis, and she first came in contact with wall yoga after practicing with Aggeliki Rebelou.
She has completed meditation and pranayama seminars with Yannis Yaples and she is certified in Yin Yoga by Betty Papadopoulou.
Her approach to teaching is mainly therapeutic and holistic, it aims at strengthening body and mind, and she is inspired to teach acceptance and self-love through Yin practices.
She is a certified Thai Massage Therapist through Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai in Thailand, and gives Metta regularly.
